Acne: Quick Cures

Many times you may have acne but are worried about it because you have to attend a social gathering or if school is reopening or if you have a date. What to do about the acne if you have only a few days in your hands?

It is no doubt frustrating to know that you will have to attend some important event with acne on the face. But in search of quick cures, you may waste precious money. There are no miracle cures for acne. You can try few things to clear acne soon. Let us find out-

-- If you have a big cyst that is filled with pus, the best method would be to get it injected with steroids. Your doctor will do that. The steroid dries out the acne in few days.
-- If you have spots spread around the face, you may use a combination of benzoyl peroxide and AHAs. Benzoyl peroxide will cure the acne and AHAs will peel away the dead skin layers to reduce the redness.
-- You may use salicylic acid. It is a beta hydroxy acid and will help clear the acne fast.
-- If you have pus-filled spots, or suspect that the spots may get infected, you may consult your doctor for oral antibiotics. Oral antibiotics will kill all the P.acnes bacteria that are infecting your acne.
-- You may use tretinoin cream. Tretinoin dries the skin, clears the acne and peels away the dead skin.
