Losing Weight The Healthy Way - The Hidden Secrets Of Effective Weight Loss

When people feel discouraged, I think it helps to remind them how we got to this point in our nation. Little changes can make a difference. When I have friends over who struggle with their weight, I serve dinner on desert plates! This helps limit the portion, and combined with slower eating and good conversation, they usually feel full.
Portion size makes a big difference. Women are eating 335 calories per day more than they did 30 years ago in the U.S. 100 calories per day translates into 10 pounds per year. To work off 100 calories requires 25 minutes of walking.
If we continue with our present portions, the typical American women would have to walk 75 minutes per day MORE than she did 30 years ago, simply to MAINTAIN her weight, not lose.
